James Madison Brantley , Jr. 1876-1913 James Madison Brantley, Jr. was born in Tennessee in 1876. He was the son of James Madison Brantley, Sr. and Martha J. Oliver. James Sr. was the son of Rubin W. Brantley, son of Joshua and Temperance (Radford) Brantley. His grandfather, Reubin, went to Cherokee County, Al about 1856. Rubin's widow and children are seen in Bedford County, TN by 1870. James married Lula Daniel about 1896. He died in Moore County, TN in 1913 and is buried in Bedford County.
