Comments: My great, great grandmother was Emily Cordelia Brantley. I am looking for her parents and siblings. She was born September 1, 1823 (1820 on her tombstone but that date doesn't work with her age in the 1850 census)in Georgia. She married Henry Bonner on August 11, 1840 in Baldwin County, Georgia. Emily and Henry were in Bibb County in 1841 and in Baldwin County in 1850. Edmund Brantley paid taxes in 1845 on behalf of Henry Bonner on a 160 acre Cherokee Land Lottery (1832)tract. Emily and Henry are listed on the 1860 census in Smith County, Texas. Emily died December 2, 1892 at Fairy, Hamilton County, Texas. She was living with her daughter Pretonia Bonner and son William F. (Wiley?) Bonner.
Admin reply: Surely a descendant of Rev Edmund Brantly. See book entries on pg 274 & 275

Comments: Rebecca Tyler, my maternal grandmother Betty Hammond (Brantley was her maiden name) I think was a member here. We are related to Benjamin Franklin Brantley, actually I just saw a picture of him yesterday. The children's names sound familiar too. Look me up on facebook, we can connect. I am personally gathering more recent Brantley data from the northern and certal California area.
Admin reply: Give me some more details and I will try to connect our lines.
