Charles Gideon Thaxton Born January 23, 1829 in Georgia . Was the son of Mary Mathis and Charles C Thaxton. Mary was the daughter of Gideon Mathis and Hannah Brantley. Hannah was daughter of Malachi Brantley of Hancock County, Georgia.
