George Washington Brantley was born March 9, 1852 in Marion County , Georgia . He was the son of Harris Brantley and Charity Harden. Harris was son of Phillip Jr, of Phillip Sr, of John, of Edward, of Phillip, of Edward Brantly (I). Harris and his brother Jones Brantley, came through Leake County about 1855. George married Mary Susan Thomas (seen here)
