Simeon Brantley was born May 18, 1804 in Chatham County, No Carolina. He was the son of William and Mary (Tomlinson) Brantley. William was the son of John and Hannah Brantley, of John, of Edward, of Phillip of Edward !. He moved to Georgia around 1830. He married Sarah Ann Daniel (shown here) in Burke Co, Georgia on May 18, 1831. By 1840, they were in Meriweather County, GA where he died Oct 30, 1883. Simeon wrote a series of letters during the mid 1800s which have been preserved by the association.
